client: Rabobank Nederland
assignment: complete interior
gross floor area: 5.835 m²
start design: 2007
The design for Beneluxstaete was produced in close co-operation between Rabo Unplugged, Rabobank’s project team and Rabobank Nederland. The intention behind this temporary accommodation was to give the interior as much of the look and feel of the new building as possible. Within the constraints imposed by the existing building, and the temporary nature of its interior, we tried to inject a touch of our ‘flow vision’ into this design.
Anticipating the ultimate ‘flow’ idea - based on intuitive behaviour - for the new building on the Croeselaan, the floors here were also designed to be as open as possible. Previously all of the rooms had been entirely enclosed. Separate work stations (open or closed) were given acoustic screens or low-hanging ceiling elements to guarantee privacy.
On the first level is the clubhouse, where you can work or eat. Adjacent to this is the Unplugged workplace. In this ‘living lab’, innovations were visible and prototypes were tested.
